Amanda Moran, a Vocal Performance Major from Lee University, embodies a deep passion for music rooted in her upbringing in Nyack, NY, and Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Her journey began with bilingual hymns in church at the age of 5, leading to a lifelong love for singing.
Throughout her academic career, Amanda has embraced choral music, participating in honor choirs and all-state ensembles. Her introduction to classical music at the Aspen Music Festival in 2019 sparked a newfound interest in opera, shaping her artistic direction.
At Lee University, Amanda's involvement in the Lee University Singers and Chorale has been both enriching and transformative. Not only has she contributed her voice to these esteemed groups, but she has also taken on leadership roles, including Historian in Lee University Singers and as an officer in Chorale.
A highlight of Amanda's journey was her recent portrayal of Papagena and Spirit 1 in Lee U Opera Theatre's production of Mozart's "The Magic Flute." and the roles of Blue Fairy & Olympia in “Pinocchio.”
Amanda's dedication has been recognized in online competitions, affirming her talent and potential in the vocal realm. Her next endeavor takes her to the International Performing Arts Institute in Kiefersfelden, Bavaria, Germany, where she will continue to refine her skills and deepen her understanding of performance art.
With a steadfast commitment to her craft and a sincere love for music, Amanda Moran is poised to make a meaningful impact in the world of vocal performance.
